The Product Model
A product anchors commerce, licensing, branding, delivery, and publication.
One identity, several configurations
The product belongs to a developer workspace and provides the reference for its descriptions, media, pricing, licensing, activation policy, files, and customer presentation. Editing one configuration does not necessarily publish every surface.
Product credentials are scoped to that product. Serial or subscription access and package configuration must reference the correct saved record, not a similar product name or another environment.

Configuration boundaries
| Area | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Details | Name, type/category, description, imagery, and supported presentation |
| Commerce | Price, discounts, recurring/bundle settings, and customer offer |
| Licensing | Credential scope, activation mode, devices, and access policy |
| Delivery | Verified attached files and eligible customer downloads |
| Publication | Draft/published/hidden/archived state and customer discoverability |
| Branding | Brand Manager defaults plus product-specific imagery/configuration |
Changes and releases
Regenerate affected packages after product credentials or generated configuration change. Test existing customers and new customers separately. Archiving a product, replacing a file, and revoking access are separate actions with different consequences.
Paid products, subscriptions, and bundles must remain at least $9.99 after discounts, before tax. Free claims follow the redemption model rather than a discounted paid checkout.
Set a price, not a pay-what-you-want amount
SoundSync does not support pay-what-you-want pricing. Set the product or offer price yourself; customers cannot choose an arbitrary purchase amount. Paid products, subscriptions, and bundles must remain at $9.99 or higher after discounts, before tax. Supported free offers use the separate free-claim flow.
