Retention and Deletion Requests

Record categories, verification, retained legal records, and account closure.

Keep what is needed, not everything forever

SoundSync retains information for the purpose it serves: operating accounts and purchased access, handling support, honoring marketing preferences, securing the service, and meeting applicable tax, accounting, dispute, and legal obligations. Unnecessary information should be deleted or anonymized. There is not one blanket retention period for all information.

Retention depends on the record and jurisdiction. A tax record can have a legally required period that differs from a support message or routine security log. Required financial records are not a reason to retain every optional profile field.

How record categories are treated

These are purpose-based rules. Fixed support, log, and backup deadlines are not yet published commitments.

Record categoryRetention purpose
Account and profileFor the account and requested services; unnecessary fields can be removed after verified closure
Orders, entitlements, licenses, and devicesFor purchased access, customer support, and applicable legal obligations
Tax, payment, refund, dispute, and payout recordsFor the period required by the relevant jurisdiction and any unresolved matter
Support and security recordsFor resolving requests or incidents and their necessary follow-up
Marketing contacts and activityFor permitted communication and reporting; unsubscribe stops marketing use
Consent and suppression recordsMinimal information necessary to honor choices and demonstrate consent
BackupsSubject to the backup lifecycle; deletion from the active account does not mean immediate removal from every backup

Request access, correction, export, or deletion

Send access, correction, export, deletion, or account-closure requests to support@soundsyncsolutions.biz. We verify the requester, review the affected information and access, and explain what can be removed and what must be retained. Closing an account, unsubscribing from marketing, and deleting personal information are different requests. No instant, all-record deletion is promised.

Tell support which account and request you mean. Do not email passwords, full card details, or other unnecessary sensitive information. Verification should be proportionate to the request.

What may remain after deletion

Necessary transaction, tax, dispute, consent, suppression, and legal records may be retained with restricted use. We explain applicable exceptions and any effect on purchased access rather than promising that every record can be erased immediately.

Backups and restored records

Backups follow their own lifecycle. A restoration must not silently undo an accepted deletion or marketing suppression. Backup expiry and request-completion deadlines need to match the actual operating procedure before fixed time guarantees are published.
