Merchant of Record Responsibilities
The legal seller and tax responsibility for managed checkout, with the boundary for external reseller transactions.
The seller behind managed checkout
SoundSync Solutions is the Merchant of Record for purchases completed through SoundSync-managed checkout. SoundSync handles payment processing and applicable sales-tax/VAT calculation, collection, registration, filing, and remittance for those transactions.

One fee, with processing included
SoundSync charges one 10% fee on product revenue after discounts and before tax. Payment processing is included for SoundSync-managed checkout. Marketplace-attributed sales use the same fee, not a second marketplace charge.
Sale price after discounts and before tax minus the SoundSync fee equals proceeds for that sale. If you have accepted affiliate or collaborator terms, their agreed shares come from that remaining revenue; the developer receives the remainder. Later refunds, disputes, and usage charges are separate adjustments.
Supported checkout locations
SoundSync supports international checkout in the locations listed on the tax and coverage page. The checkout location selector determines availability. Coverage is not a claim that every country or every tax exemption is supported.
An external serial is not a managed sale
A sale collected by an external reseller, partner, or another payment system is not a SoundSync-managed sale. SoundSync does not cover that seller's processing fees or act as Merchant of Record for that payment. Approved integrations can still use SoundSync serials, customer claims, licensing, and fulfillment. A referral that completes payment through SoundSync checkout remains a managed sale, including a developer storefront or marketplace purchase.
Each calendar month includes 10,000 qualifying external redemptions, then $0.005 per redemption. Examples include free-product claims and reseller or other off-portal serial claims. A free BOGO gift included in a paid SoundSync checkout has no external-redemption charge. Ordinary license validation, device activation, and reactivation are not each a new external redemption merely because they call the licensing API.

Affiliate and collaborator shares
Affiliate and collaborator programs support versioned agreements, referral activity, sale allocations, recipient balances, and settlement for enrolled accounts. Live participation requires explicit acceptance by both the developer owner and recipient of the current terms and payout policy, plus verified payout details. A calculator preview or invitation acceptance alone does not authorize live payments; availability follows the account's rollout and payout readiness.
SoundSync manages recipient settlement on SoundSync-collected sales. The 10% SoundSync fee is deducted first; ordinary managed-checkout processing is covered by SoundSync, not deducted again from recipients. The accepted affiliate share comes next, then collaborator shares and the developer remainder are kept separate. Eligible payouts follow the 1st and 15th schedule and minimum 14-day hold, with payment, destination, refund, dispute, and account checks. Externally collected reseller or partner sales remain unfunded estimates in this settlement system, and SoundSync does not cover their processing fees. No automatic cross-provider or currency conversion is promised.
