| Transactional email | Receipts, license, account, support, and required service messages. | Required operational context; still respect provider errors and safe sender settings. |
| Marketing email | Developer campaign sent to selected eligible contacts. | Requires consent/suppression handling. |
| Platform email | SoundSync-owned marketplace/platform communications. | Not the same as developer campaign access. |
| Developer campaign | Created/scheduled/sent from /api/developer/email-marketing/campaigns. | Developer owns audience choice within platform rules. |
